As of 1 January 2026, revised conditions will apply to service providers offering port services at North Sea Port in Ghent. These conditions are laid down in the “Port Services Framework”.

This document sets out the requirements for companies wishing to provide port services in the Ghent part of North Sea Port, including the performance of various services and the operational procedures to be followed.

Compliance with laws and regulations

The Port Services Framework has been drawn up in accordance with applicable national and international legislation and the port police regulations. These conditions apply in addition to other legal obligations that may apply to service providers. Existing working arrangements, integrated traffic management and the competences of other authorities are also taken into account.

Together. Smarter.

At North Sea Port, customer partnership is crucial and forms an essential part of delivering port services. We are looking for service providers who act as true partners to the companies in the port area. This principle is therefore embedded in the new Port Services Framework.
