Space is scarce. We improve the use of existing sites and create extra space for companies contributing to to the energy and raw materials transition and sustainable logistics, whilst strengthening green-blue infrastructure.

Together with industry, we (re)develop areas such as Deep-C Circular and North-C Circular. In doing so, we support the energy and resource transition and multimodality — with attention to liveability, biodiversity, and green buffer zones around the port.

We work with partners on a clear framework to acquire and develop additional space for port and water-related activities. In doing so, we strengthen both the economy and society, while contributing to European objectives such as resilience and climate neutrality.
Concrete projects
Together with ArcelorMittal Belgium and the Flemish government, we’re redeveloping 150 hectares to accelerate the shift in energy and materials.
We’re creating green zones and water-rich areas in and around the port. This gives companies room to grow while ensuring the surrounding area remains a pleasant place to live and work.
