Wind, oil and gas

We are the offshore port where wind energy, oil and gas converge. With over 80 offshore wind farm marshalling projects under our belt, dedicated terminals, large-scale production sites and full-service support, we offer a one-stop shop for the entire chain. Specialists with sea legs ensure your project catches the wind too.

Offshore in numbers

60 ha of terminal space dedicated to offshore logistics.
80 + offshore wind farms installed from our port area in Vlissingen.
30 + Offshore-related companies.
1 h that’s how fast you reach the North Sea from our port. No locks, no tides.
17 m deep draught!
24 m deep sinking dock for floating cargo operations.
2000 m quay length optimised for heavy project cargo.

Flexible, scalable, ready.

We like a challenge. With expertise, scale, logistics, drive and a healthy dose of common sense, we make every offshore project a success. Find out how.

  • Our central location is ideal for offshore projects. Sail to the North Sea from our port — within the hour! Via coastal and inland shipping, we’re perfectly connected to major suppliers. No locks, no tides — just a flying start.

  • Besides our deep sea and short sea connections, we are multimodally connected to the European hinterland. Road, rail or inland shipping? You got it. No detours, no traffic jams. Just smooth sailing.

  • Offshore projects call for improvisation — and we get that. We switch fast, think ahead and stay solution-focused, even when conditions shift. We’re agile and deliver short lead times. You call? We pick up.

Your one-stop offshore shop

Logistics, production, engineering, helicopter ops or skilled crews — whatever you need, it all comes together in our port. We’re the offshore logistics hub, from training to execution. That’s our 360° approach to being your one-stop offshore shop.

Green power, green future

Green energy is crucial. And we’re on board. Wind farms in and off our port generate clean power — fuelling both the grid and sustainable hydrogen production.

From sea to socket

500 MW onshore, 1.5 GW offshore and another 6.3 GW incoming. Via 380 kV networks, wind power flows straight from sea to grid — and into the heart of industry.

Wind is where green hydrogen begins

Sustainable hydrogen is key to the energy transition — but it needs massive amounts of power. Thanks to our 380 kV infrastructure, we can produce and scale up.

Pioneers of power at sea

In our port in Vlissingen, DEME and Jan De Nul are building the world’s first artificial energy island at sea: the Princess Elisabeth Island. A technical feat of 23 concrete caissons, each weighing 20,000 tonnes, that gives European energy infrastructure real buoyancy.

This bold project brings offshore wind together, connects nations with undersea cables, and powers up Europe’s energy security. Unique in kind, epic in scale — this projects sets a new standard for international collaboration and future energy solutions.
